Cat Take Potter Book!

Wow, I just came back from our local book store, the Book Vault. They were having a Harry Potter release party for the final book. The place was packed! Got some footage of the event as we are doing a Harry Potter themed show for this upcoming episode. It will be fun.
We plan on having:

• A review of the recent film
• Non-spoiler review of the last book
• Special guest, Krys Robinson, an expert on all things Harry Potter
• Harry Potter on the web, where to go and how to get your Potter fix
• The above mentioned footage from the release party

Now, about that last book...yes I managed to get a copy, but as soon as I got the book home, my cat Zu claimed it for her own!

Some After-Con Thanks :)

Super Robot Team Planet Access Go! was at the ConnectiCon convention this past weekend. For many of us, it was our first time at ConnectiCon. The events were fun, people were nice and the costumes were extraordinary. At times the con was a bit hectic, but we tried our best. As a result we have over 14 hours of footage to review and edit!
We met some awesome people this year. Thanks especially to Jess Hartley, freelance writer for White Wolf, Kevin McKeever of Harmony Gold, and Steve Bennett of manga webcomic artistry. Thanks also to NovaBlade for their kickin music at the table to the left of us, and Erik Amill for his humor and good chats at the table to the right. Thanks to everyone else we haven't mentioned yet too. We promise we will get footage up from the con soon :)

Hey folks, we are at ConnectiCon 2007! Having a blast meeting all of you and getting some great footage. As we get it edited, we will post our clips from the con as soon as possible.

We've Got Updates

Did some updates today:

• Two more 'Meet the Crew' videos have been added. This time we feature Kathryn and Chris.
• Added a more complete description of our show on our About Us page.
• Provided a link to our Planet Access spot on Youtube. You can find all our uploaded clips there.
• Activated new feed widgets to the left that allow you to add us to your Google, My Yahoo, Netvibes, or Bloglines service
• Provided general mayhem and havoc to our local public access studio........just kidding :P

Heather's Hats

Hey were mostly human-alien-cyborgish, so we miss things here and there. Forgot to mention that during our live show not all of the costumes were from the Trail of Terror. Heather and Scott, our sometime camera crew volunteers, were also there in costume.

We understand that Heather made these costumes and that she is also quite adept at making anime-themed felt hats too.

Heather is very talented at what she does, is a show sponsor, volunteer, and does commissioned work. Scott, well....he is just a penguin. LOL! jk, Scott we appreciate your help too!

Display of Patriotism and Live Show Pics

In good fun and to celebrate this Independence Day, Planet Access presents this parody of the classic Uncle Sam recruitment poster.

The other day we said we would show some pics from our live show previewing ConnectiCon. Here they are:

The first picture is our host Kathryn with CtCon guest Brittney to the left and Sarah on the right. The second picture is of Matt in the control room preparing for the show. The two group shots include the crew of Planet Access, are CtCon guests and some costumed creatures from the Trail of Terror.

Mascot Combat!

Feeling a little motivated by yesterdays pic, crew member Matt, is at it again.

Continuing along with the video game theme, Matt has depicted our mascot in the tradition of vs. combat fighting games.

Our hero puts the 'GET OVER HERE!' and 'FINISH HIM!' onto the enemies of public access.

Hey, how about that, postings 3 days in a row! Today we continue work on our video edits and prepare for our upcoming con coverage.

Planet Access Mascot, Video Game Edition

Here is our mascot again. This time he is bustin' a move video game rpg style! We have had some great suggestions so far for a name, but are not settled as of yet. So if you have any ideas for a name, shoot. There is still time people. Maybe a contest is in order? What you say? All your cool naming skills are belong to us! Maybe we do something nice for whoever we pick. Maybe. :) 

Hope the pick holds ya over till we get clips up from our live show last Friday. It good stuff, trust us.

Live Show a Blast!

This past Friday, the 29th of June, we had a live show where we previewed the upcoming ConnectiCon 2007 convention being held July 13th-15th. It was so much fun.

During the first half of the show we talked with Sarah and Brittney. They are staff at ConnectiCon. Sarah is the head of guest relations and Brittney is head of anime. The duo provided their perspective and insights on the convention.

The second half kept things rolling with a phone call from anime voice actor Daniel Kevin Harrison. We also got a more inside look at the convention from Sarah and Brittney. The phone lines were opened to take live calls. Thanks to WPAA veteran, Ed McCarver, for calling in. Hey! We have some viewers!

At the end of the show we were all surprised as the folks from the Trail of Terror stopped by to show off their costuming and meet our ConnectiCon guests. As soon as we can, we will get some clips and photos posted of the show that you can see here.

We are very excited about the upcoming convention. The live show has upped our anticipation. Thanks again to Sarah, Brittney and Daniel for their time. You guys are great and we look forward to talking to you more at the con.
