“Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed on an equal or greater benefit.” -- Napoleon Hill
We are all works in progress. We all face hardship and set back and conflict. If we choose to, we meet those challenges head on and grow. Regardless of whether or not we 'fail', I believe we make that decision. If we choose to, we learn from failures and grow. To rise or fall, win or lose is a choice. At least as far as what we can control within. What is outside of us, remains outside our control but we can still do our best to navigate that terrain. A strong mental game can make the outside path clearer.
But what if your mind is working against you? What if certain neurological components are not firing off properly? Do you give up? Do you punch in the clock?
I can't.
I keep going no matter what.Every time I fall, I get back up. I don't have all the answers to what goes on inside my brain. What I do know is that I am a work in progress. With more insight, hopefully I can get additional relief from the symptoms the hold me back from all the things I want to do.
Sometimes there are little steps. Some steps big. Other steps go back a few paces before moving forward again. Then there are the leaps. They take faith and are pretty scary but they can really lead to some amazing breakthroughs. The important thing is to be moving. Trying things out.
Along the same lines as today's post theme, the following piece of artwork is a work in progress. This crazy goblinoid was a spur of the moment kind of thing, but I'm interested to see were it goes.
